Methodology

The guidance in this section is tailored to the specific type of your project. If you are undertaking an empirical study, refer to subsection [meth_empi] for detailed instructions. Conversely, if you are engaged in a theoretical project, consult subsection [meth_theor] for comprehensive guidance.

Empirical Analysis

Before presenting the data, model and diagnostic tests, write an introductory short summary paragraph presenting what model will be used, what are the data / important variables and the sample characteristics (starting-ending dates, frequency, time series / panel data / cross-sectional data, ...).

1. Data subsection: presentation of data and transformation, plots of the data and descriptive statistics

2. Model subsection: presentation of the model and variables and reasons/arguments of the choice of the model (Why this model? What are the advantages or disadvantages? ...)

Theoretical Analysis

Before presenting the model, write one or two introductory short summary paragraphs explaining your model: On which model is based yours? What type of model is it (Growth, RBC, RANK, HANK, ...)? How many agents populate the economy and what are their economic roles? How many assets/means of saving are available to the agents? How many firms and type of firms? What are the main frictions in the environment (if any)?

Before presenting the results in details, write an introductory short summary paragraph presenting an overview of the main results.

1. Present the results of the analysis and explain/interpret them using economic theory

2. Tables and graphs should include a table/figure number, title, legend and a explanatory note below (the table/figure should be understandable without reading the main text)

Conclusion

1. First paragraph: briefly remind the reader about the research question, the methodology and answer the research question

2. Present a summarised version of main results: one paragraph per result
